Elder mediation

Elder Mediation is offered to bruised and quietly hurting families who have suffered deep wounds. They do not want to be involved in legal battles so the goal of family mediation is to bring families together to solve difficult problems and resolve conflict. We strive to solve elder care issues in the most efficient manner.

Elder Mediation focuses on:

  • Housing Issues
  • Care disputes
  • Health care planning
  • Managing finances

Families often disagree over use of finances, housing, autos, or care. Misunderstanding of accounting and no clear guidelines among family member may cause stress and dissension. The elder feels forgotten or abandoned, and is easily exploited.

In my years of working with the elderly I find it vitally important for families to have a working agreement. Mediation offers aided negotiation from a third party to assist both sides in reaching an agreement. This is called conflict resolution and it includes a contract.
